Business Development/Key Account Manager - German Speaking

Location: London, Hybrid working

Our client, an FMCG brand who is rapidly expanding across Europe, they are looking for an experienced Business Development/Key Account Manager to join their growing team. Working within a highly talented Sales team, you will be responsible for driving growth across designated markets, building strategic relationships, and leading a team of dedicated professionals.

The ideal candidate is fluent in German, has an in-depth knowledge of FMCG markets in Germany and/or Poland with a passion for the food industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a strategic plan to drive business growth and increase market share.
  • Conduct in-depth market analyses to identify growth opportunities, consumer trends, and competitor activities.
  • Establish and nurture long-term partnerships with distributors, retailers, wholesalers, and stakeholders.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of business development professionals focused on these markets.
  • Drive performance for the team, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
  • Develop sales targets and oversee the execution of sales strategies to achieve growth objectives.
  • Regularly report on market conditions, team performance, and sales results to senior management.

Requirements:

  • Fluent in German is required
  • Experience in team leadership, with a track record of developing and managing a successful sales team.
  • Strong understanding of FMCG landscape and business development or sales within Europe, ideally DACH & Poland markets, with a strong network of contacts in these regions.
  • Prepared to work flexible hours and ok with travel when needed.
  • University degree level or equivalent, Business or Marketing related degree is preferred.
