Ryder Reid Legal is currently working on an exciting opportunity for a Senior Business Development Manager to join one of our global law firm clients at their London office as part of their Corporate practice and International Antitrust and Competition (AIC) practice.

In this role, the successful candidate will work alongside experienced professionals, including the current SBDM of the Corporate practice and the Director of International Business Development. They will also supervise a BD Manager and co-supervise a Senior BD & Marketing Coordinator based in London. This position offers exposure to multiple sub-practices and regions, providing ample growth opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute effective marketing and business development strategies for various sub-practice groups.
  • Manage and build relationships with new and existing clients.
  • Host regular sub-practice, industry, or client team meetings and prepare necessary reports and presentations.
  • Collaborate closely with the wider London BD team, international marketing team, and marketing department.
  • Supervise and guide colleagues and team members.
  • Lead the preparation of proposals, RFPs, and presentations.
  • Utilize marketing technology tools to target existing clients and generate new business.
  • Identify and coordinate conferences, seminars, sponsorships, and other opportunities to attract new clients and increase brand visibility.
  • Manage cross-practice initiatives and client and industry teams to expand business.
  • Prepare and manage client development expenses and annual budgets.
  • Prepare and distribute marketing materials and assist with thought leadership and press releases.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience within a law firm environment.
  • Strong leadership, project management, and communication skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or Masters a plus.
