Senior Business Development Executive - 12-Month FTC

The Firm

This is an exceptional opportunity for a Senior Executive to join a leading law firm, promoting its Real Estate team (Real Estate Construction, Planning, Environment and ESG teams). This role offers a unique chance to delve into client and market development within a professional services environment, working closely with senior stakeholders to achieve tangible results. Your Key Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Collaborate with the Business Development team to create infrastructure around key clients, maximising revenue opportunities through best practice account management and opportunity spotting.
  • Drive the cross-selling collaboration toolkit programme by identifying relevant issues, promoting the programme internally, and creating toolkits with lawyers and the design centre.
  • Conduct detailed research to identify client targets and work with Client Relationship Partners on opportunities to raise with clients.
  • Record activity and measure success to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Coach teams on best practices for business development, client management, and opportunity spotting.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver client-facing materials.
  • Maintain a view of all prioritised issues and campaigns across the firm.
  • Act as a central point of contact for identifying cross-selling opportunities.

The successful candidate will engage in client account management, client listening, and sales support, working across the full marketing mix, including digital marketing, social media, and events. They will facilitate and coordinate efforts across practices and offices globally, capture and publicise major deals and transactions on social media, develop and execute digital marketing and social media strategies, and handle press enquiries and write press releases with the PR team.

Ideal Candidate Profile
  • Strong business development experience, ideally from a professional services firm; legal experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of the real estate market is highly desirable.
  • Proven track record in building relationships at all levels.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills, with good judgement and attention to detail.
  • Proven experience in sales support, client account management, marketing communications, and design.
