Role Overview:

My client is seeking an experienced Pre-Sales Consultant to join our team in Manchester. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 platforms, and will play a critical role in bridging the gap between our sales and technical teams, working closely with clients to understand their business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Client Engagement: Collaborate with the sales team to engage with prospective clients, understand their business needs, and identify the best cloud solutions using Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 technologies.
  • Solution Design: Create high-level solution designs, proposals, and presentations that align with customer requirements and best practices within the Azure and Microsoft 365 ecosystems.
  • Technical Expertise: Act as a subject matter expert in Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365, providing technical guidance and demonstrating the value of these platforms to customers.
  • Product Demonstrations: Conduct product demonstrations, showcasing Azure and Microsoft 365 solutions, and how they can solve business challenges.
  • Proposal Development: Assist in the development of detailed solution proposals, working closely with the sales and technical delivery teams to ensure feasibility and alignment with client needs.
  • Collaboration: Work with internal teams (sales, engineering, delivery) to ensure a smooth handover from pre-sales to implementation, maintaining customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Market Awareness: Stay up to date on Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 trends, competitive products, and evolving technologies to offer innovative solutions to clients.
Essential Skills & Experience:
  • Proven experience in a Pre-Sales Consultant or similar role.
  • Technical proficiency in Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365, with a deep understanding of cloud infrastructure, productivity solutions, and security offerings.
  • Experience in designing and proposing Azure and 365 solutions for business clients, including hybrid cloud setups.
  • Ability to articulate technical solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple engagements and proposals concurrently.
  • A passion for technology and an eagerness to stay ahead of industry trends.
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Microsoft certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, or Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate.
  • Experience working in the Managed Services Provider (MSP) sector or IT consulting.
  • Familiarity with other cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud) is a plus but not required.
