Position: Packaging Sales Representative Salary: £30-40k depending on experience

Location: East London

Hours: 9AM-5PM (Monday - Friday)

About the business:

Would you like to work as a Packaging Sales Representative for a company who supplies major retail chains throughout the UK, creating retail-ready packaging for some of the most recognisable brands within the industry.

Key Responsibilities of an Outbound Sales Representative:

  • Sales Strategy Development:Identify and target key markets within the printed packaging industry, focusing on sectors such as FMCG, retail, and e-commerce. Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve sales targets and expand market presence.
  • Client Acquisition and Management:Actively have a book of or seek out new business opportunities and build a robust pipeline of prospects. Cultivate strong relationships with potential clients, ensuring a deep understanding of their packaging needs and challenges.
  • Account Growth:Manage and grow a portfolio of existing accounts, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling additional services or products.
  • Networking:Leverage industry contacts and networking events to generate new leads and stay informed about market trends and competitor activities. Maintain a strong industry presence to enhance the company's reputation and visibility.
  • Sales Reporting:Monitor sales performance against targets, providing regular reports and insights to senior management. Utilise CRM tools to track progress and manage client relationships effectively.
  • Collaboration:Work closely with the production, design, and customer service teams to ensure client requirements are met, from initial contact through to delivery. Provide feedback and insights to improve product offerings and customer experience.
  • Market Research:Stay up to date with industry developments, emerging technologies, and market trends. Use this knowledge to inform sales strategies and identify new business opportunities.

Requirements for a Packaging Sales Representative:

  • Experience:Minimum of 3-5 years of sales experience within the printed packaging or a related industry. A strong network of industry contacts and a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets is essential.
  • Location:Must reside within a 1-hour commute of Hackney, London. Flexibility to travel to meet clients as required.
  • Skills:Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients at all levels.
  • Self-Motivation:Highly driven, with the ability to work independently and manage your own schedule to maximize sales opportunities.
  • Technical Knowledge:A solid understanding of BRC printed packaging processes, materials, and technologies is highly desirable.
