I am currently representingWaltham Council, who are offering an initial temporary contract for a period of 6+ months with a view to be extended or offered a permanent position for the right candidate at a rate which is negotiable dependent upon experience

We are looking for a Campaigns & Communications Officer this role will be: Hybrid E14 4JF

The right candidate will:

To contribute to the delivery of the authority’s campaign programme. To make full use of digital channels and work with the policy team and communications teams to help the council achieve its objectives.

  • Provide advice and make recommendations based on up to date knowledge and analysis / evaluation of information. Manage escalated or complex customer issues within the relevant area.
  • Contribute to the development of service plans to meet strategic business goals.
    Research developments in relevant area. Collate process and analyse information / data.
  • Translate outputs into advisory reports / documents / actions as appropriate.
    Lead on the development, implementation, maintenance and management of systems, policies, procedures and / or standards within area of responsibility.
  • Work closely with others to support/Manage the development and delivery of improvements in processes and procedures.
  • Prepare and present a full range of reports (both standard and nonstandard) covering area of responsibility

We require the following:

  • Knowledge of the use of digital media and familiarity of different digital channels.
  • Experience of creating video and infographics for digital platforms.
  • Experience of working across a range of communications specialisms including media, campaigns, marketing and events.
  • Experience of working pressured environment and delivering results to tight deadlines.
  • A knowledge of national, regional, local and specialist press.
