Kameo Recruitment is partnering with a rapidly expanding events business, based in Wimbledon, (South-west London) to recruit for an experienced Communications Manager. This is a hands-on role, perfect for someone who can think big, execute flawlessly, and rally teams around a shared vision. The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in storytelling, shaping both internal and external messaging while championing the company’s values and culture.

The is a full time, permanent position, initially office based with the potential for more flexibility once probation period has passed.

Duties & Responsibilities of the Communications Manager:

  • Design and implement a comprehensive communications strategy to elevate the company’s profile.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Leadership Team to define communication priorities, messaging frameworks, and brand positioning.
  • Act as the bridge between marketing, culture, and leadership team to ensure cohesive storytelling across all touch points.
  • Oversee the development of content that highlights the values driven, inclusive culture to attract and retain top talent.
  • Shape and maintain the company’s external narrative through PR campaigns, media relations, and company announcements.
  • Build and maintain online presences across relevant platforms and the company’s website, ensuring consistency in messaging and highlighting the company’s achievements and values.
  • Develop effective communication strategies that engage both internal stakeholders and external stakeholders.
  • Track and report on the effectiveness of communication efforts using qualitative and quantitative metrics.
  • Continuously seek feedback and refine strategies to improve engagement and reach.
  • Work closely with the Head of Culture and Head of Marketing to capture moments on site, in the office, at social events to capture team and people action shots.

What you will need to succeed as Communications Manager:

  • Proven experience in a communications or PR role, with a strong understanding of internal and external messaging.
  • A passion for promoting and nurturing the culture and company values.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to adapt tone and style for different audiences.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to work effectively across departments and with senior leadership.
  • A creative mindset with the confidence to propose and implement latest ideas.
  • High emotional intelligence and cultural sensitivity, essential for crafting messages that resonate globally.
  • Experience managing social media, PR campaigns, and content creation.
  • An analytical thinker with the ability to execute tactical plans effectively.
  • Work with Head of Marketing to coordinate external award entries.
  • Enthusiasm for fostering a positive workplace culture and supporting initiatives that improve employee experience.
