We are seeking an experienced Internal Communication Manager to lead strategic and operational communication efforts for a high-profile organisational change programme. This role is crucial for ensuring clarity, alignment, and engagement across all stakeholders, fostering understanding and buy-in for the change initiative. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned communications professional with a proven ability to deliver impactful messaging during periods of transformation.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Strategic Communication Planning:
    • Develop and execute a comprehensive communication strategy aligned with the objectives of the change programme.
    • Identify key milestones and design phased communication plans to support each stage of the change journey.
    • Ensure messaging reflects the organisation’s vision, values, and culture while addressing stakeholder concerns.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Map out key stakeholders and ensure tailored communication for employees, leaders, and external partners.
    • Provide strategic counsel to senior leaders on effective communication approaches for sensitive or complex change topics.
    • Act as the central point of coordination for all programme-related communications.
  • Content Development and Delivery:
    • Craft clear, consistent, and compelling messages, including announcements, FAQs, newsletters, and presentations.
    • Oversee the creation of multi-channel materials such as videos, infographics, intranet updates, and town hall content.
    • Collaborate with HR, IT, and operational leads to ensure communications address practical impacts on employees.
  • Employee Advocacy and Feedback:
    • Establish two-way communication mechanisms to gather employee sentiment and feedback during the change process.
    • Monitor engagement levels and adjust communication strategies based on insights and feedback loops.
    • Champion transparency and empathy in all communication efforts to build trust.
  • Project and Risk Management:
    • Ensure timely delivery of communication activities, managing risks related to misinformation or resistance.
    • Maintain alignment between communications and programme timelines.
    • Measure the effectiveness of communication efforts and report on outcomes to leadership.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven track record in managing communications for large-scale organisational change.
  • Ability to align communication strategies with organisational goals and change objectives.
  • Expertise in translating complex or technical concepts into relatable, human-centred messaging.
  • Experience engaging with senior leaders and diverse internal and external audiences.
  • Strong planning, coordination, and delivery skills in a fast-paced environment.
