PR & Communications Manager (Superyachts) - 1 year fixed term contract - London - 60k plus bonus


This is an excellent opportunity to join a global yacht management company based in London (Hybrid). The role is a 1 year fixed term contract to provide maternity cover. Ideally starting beginning of Jan 2025


We are seeking a dynamic and experienced PR & Communications Manager to join the team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for luxury services, strong communication skills, and a proven track record in public relations and corporate communications in the yachting industry. This role involves developing and executing comprehensive PR strategies that enhance the brand visibility, foster positive media relations, and engage stakeholders in the yachting industry.


Key Responsibilities:
* Strategy Development: Design and implement innovative PR and communication strategies that align with the company's goals and enhance its reputation within the yacht management sector.
* Media Relations: Build and maintain relationships with journalists, influencers, and industry stakeholders. Proactively pitch stories and secure coverage in relevant publications, both print and digital.
* Content Creation: Oversee the creation of compelling content for press releases, newsletters, blog posts, and social media platforms. Ensure all communications reflect the company's brand voice and messaging.
* Event Management: Plan and coordinate promotional events, press conferences, and industry trade shows. Act as the primary point of contact for media during these events.
* Crisis Management: Develop crisis communication strategies and manage communication during critical incidents to protect the company's reputation.
* Market Research: Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for communication initiatives and maintain the company's competitive edge.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, sales, and operations, to ensure cohesive messaging and brand alignment across all channels.
* Performance Measurement: Analyze and report on the effectiveness of PR campaigns, utilizing metrics to refine strategies and improve outcomes.


Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related field (preferred)
* 5+ years of experience in PR and communications within the yachting industry.
* Must have superyacht experience as you will be working closely with yachting journalists/publications.
* Strong understanding of media landscape and experience in building media relationships.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
* Proficient in social media platforms and content management systems.
* Creative thinker with the ability to develop innovative communication strategies.
* Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

You must have the right to work in the UK to be considered. The role is based in London office and the requirement is minimum of 2 days in the office per week with the balance at home.
