Job Title: Senior Media Relations Manager - Executive DirectorJob Type: PermanentLocation: LondonOpportunity Overview: A fantastic opportunity to join my client Nomura, one of the largest investment banks and brokerage companies, as the Senior Media Relations Manager - Executive Director.Role Objective: We are looking for an experienced media relations professional to join our busy team. You will support the Head of Corporate Communications in providing strategic and tactical media relations advice, play a key role in developing and executing our external communication strategy to support our strategic goals. We will look to you to deliver day-to-day promotion of the firm as well as handling reactive, sometimes challenging issues in the financial, trade and broadcast media. You will develop and maintain key relationships with journalists and stakeholders throughout the business, providing excellent media relations advice and support. Key Responsibilities:* Supporting the Head of Corporate Communications as required in providing strategic communications advice and crisis comms counsel* Working with colleagues across the business and the global Communications team to ensure communications alignment of global messages externally and internally* Preparing press releases, media materials, announcements and briefing points which align to Nomura's global narrative and core messages * Securing positive media coverage and supporting on award applications as needed* Developing an excellent network of journalist contacts to ensure the strategy of the bank is effectively and accurately communicated * Maintaining a robust governance process partnering with Compliance, IT Security, Business Continuity, Legal and Corporate Communications colleagues, ensuring all stakeholders have every opportunity to contribute in line with the strategic priorities and governance frameworkRequirements:Experience of working in financial services is a must.
