Our Client is seeking a talented and motivated Computer Vision Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in computer vision and machine learning, and a passion for developing cutting-edge applications that enhance our products and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and optimize computer vision algorithms for applications such as image recognition, object detection, and video analysis.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and deliver effective solutions.
  • Develop and maintain robust software frameworks using tools such as OpenCV, TensorFlow, and PyTorch.
  • Conduct experiments to evaluate the performance of different algorithms and models, iterating based on results.
  • Handle large datasets, implementing data augmentation and pre-processing techniques to improve model accuracy.
  • Stay updated on the latest advancements in computer vision and machine learning, applying relevant research to projects.
  • Prepare technical documentation and presentations to communicate findings and project status to stakeholders.
  • Assist in deploying computer vision models into production and ensuring their scalability and efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Hold a masters degree, or – preferably – PhD in a relevant subject such as computer science.
  • Demonstratable experience of developing – at a low level – novel image processing algorithms.
  • Experience developing parallelisable implementations of algorithms, suitable for real-time execution at video rates.
  • Comfortable coding in C / C++.
  • Experience with machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch) and libraries (e.g., OpenCV).
  • Strong mathematical foundation in linear algebra, calculus, and statistics.
  • Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud) and deployment practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in real-time computer vision applications.
  • Knowledge of specific domains such as robotics, healthcare, or automotive.
  • Contributions to open-source projects or publications in computer vision.
