Sustainability Consultant - Building Services Design

A well-established building services design consultancy with offices across the UK is looking to grow its sustainability offering by hiring a Sustainability Consultant. Known for their technical expertise and collaborative approach, they deliver Mechanical, Electrical, and Public Health (MEP) engineering services across a range of sectors - from commercial and residential to healthcare and education.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a forward-thinking, multidisciplinary team on projects that have a real environmental impact.
What you'll be doing:
- Undertaking energy assessments and carbon modelling across new and existing buildings
- Supporting compliance with UK Building Regulations (Part L, Part O)
- Carrying out overheating analysis in line with CIBSE TM52 and TM59
- Delivering thermal modelling and dynamic simulations using IES-VE
- Supporting Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) and Whole Life Carbon reporting using tools such as OneClick LCA
- Contributing to the delivery of environmental assessments including BREEAM, WELL, and LEED
- Working collaboratively with engineers and architects to integrate sustainable strategies into building designs
- Staying up to date with industry standards, emerging legislation, and best practices
About you:
You'll ideally have 2-3 years' experience in sustainability or energy consulting, strong working knowledge of IES-VE, and experience supporting certification and carbon assessments. Most importantly, you'll be passionate about sustainable design and motivated to help clients reduce their environmental impact.
