Job Overview:


We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Director Level Chartered Building Surveyor to lead and manage our building surveying department in London. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in delivering high-quality building surveying services, strategic leadership, and business development. As a key member of the senior management team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future growth and direction of the company.


Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Management:

Lead, manage, and mentor a team of building surveyors, ensuring high performance and professional development.

Oversee project delivery to ensure it meets client expectations, budget, and timeline.

Contribute to strategic planning and decision-making at the executive level.

Business Development:

Develop and maintain strong client relationships, identifying new business opportunities.

Lead client pitches and presentations, securing new projects and contracts.

Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to enhance the companys market presence.

Project Management:

Manage a diverse portfolio of projects, including residential, commercial, and public sector developments.

Provide expert advice on building regulations, property law, and technical standards.

Conduct inspections, surveys, and valuations, producing detailed reports and recommendations.

Compliance and Standards:

Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and best practices.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, legislative changes, and emerging technologies.

Financial Oversight:

Prepare and manage budgets, ensuring profitability and cost-effectiveness.

Report on project progress, financial performance, and key metrics to stakeholders.


Qualifications and Experience:

MRICS accreditation is essential.

Extensive experience in building surveying, with a significant portion at a senior or director level.

Proven leadership and management experience within a similar role.

Strong business development skills with a track record of winning and managing large projects.

In-depth knowledge of UK building regulations, property law, and construction practices.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
