Due to expansion out client is looking to recruit a Construction Site Supervisor. Reporting to the GM of Operations, you will use your planning and problem-solving skills to deliver projects to the highest standard and to contribute to the overall success of the customer experience and customer satisfaction. To reflect the company ethos in the management of employees and in the undertaking of all professional duties. With ongoing skills training and strong support from senior management, you will establish yourself as a motivating leader who drives results.

Responsibilities:

  • To demonstrate the ability to plan over a longer period and to take into account more interdependent variables in this planning.
  • Where appropriate, consult with subcontractors to gather their specialist input into the programme.
  • Survey various site locations based on information provided by clients to ascertain if products can be installed.
  • Collate site survey information and produce reports based on the information received.
  • Arrange deliveries with subcontractors and coordinate with site teams prior to installation
  • Coordinate and oversee all construction activities on-site, including subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Monitor project progress and implement necessary changes to achieve milestones and deadlines.
  • Collaborate with the onsite project team to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Provide leadership and direction to site personnel in achieving installation dates.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and records.
  • Capture any changes to the installation and advise the project team of any variations to the contract
  • To ensure strategies are used to monitor quality and maintain high standards, including regular site inspections of work in progress
  • Snag installation work done by subcontractors to ensure client sign-off.

Requirements:

Experience as a site supervisor or similar role in the construction industry, with a focus on commercial/building projects.

  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, techniques, and materials is desirable.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Travel to various sites and make regular visits to warehouses and suppliers.
  • Ability to problem-solve and make decisions under pressure.
  • Relevant qualifications in construction management or a related field.
  • Valid CSCS Supervisory (Required)
  • SSSTS (CITB): Supervisor Site Safety Training Scheme or SMSTS (preferable)
  • First Aid Qualification (preferable)
  • Able to commute (preferable due to various locations of projects)
  • Capability to read and understand architectural/ design plan
  • Driving licence (preferable)
  • SEATS Certificate (preferable)
  • Basic Knowledge of Microsoft packages
  • Ability to handle multiple projects
