We are looking to appoint an inspirational Early Years Teacher (EYTS) or Primary Teacher (QTS) to join our dedicated nursery team between two and four days a week. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced teacher to shape pedagogy within our setting, and maintain the excellent standard of early years education we offer.

We have a dedicated Pre-School classroom, with class sizes of approximately 16 children, aged 3 to 5 years. The nursery is well resourced and has three outdoor spaces, one of which is solely for the use of the pre-school room, which offer a range of opportunities for exploration, investigation and play.

Salary: £36,000 - £46,000 per annum

Job Outline

This role involves leading pedagogy in the setting; planning and implementing a curriculum based on the EYFS (utilising ‘Birth to 5 Matters’ guidance) which supports children’s learning and development. The teacher will work within a small teaching team which includes two Early Years Practitioners and a member of support staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Working with a team as well as senior members of staff across the setting to ensure effective implementation of our play based, child-led curriculum throughout the nursery
  • Attending weekly planning meetings
  • Assisting with INSET training days
  • Maintaining children’s folders
  • One to one reading
  • Carrying out children’s observations
  • Writing transfer records

You must have EYTS or QTS to be considered for this position, and an excellent command of written and spoken English.
