Workmans Recruitment is hiring an Electrical Supervisor to join a well-established refurbishment contractor with over 80 years of experience. Specializing in planned works within social housing, this company is committed to delivering high-quality fire safety solutions while ensuring compliance with industry regulations and Health & Safety standards.
As an Electrical Supervisor, you will oversee fire safety works across multiple sites in Islington, ensuring subcontractors and teams deliver projects on time, safely, and to the required standards. This is a great opportunity for an experienced supervisor to lead and develop teams within a supportive, growth-focused company.
Duties:
- Manage subcontractors and direct staff, ensuring fire alarm systems, smoke detection, and emergency lighting installations meet regulations.
- Conduct regular site visits, enforce CDM and Health & Safety compliance, and ensure risk assessments and PPE requirements are met.
- Monitor trade staff, conduct 6-monthly appraisals, and handle performance improvement meetings as needed.
- Identify and address project delays, resource shortages, or safety concerns.
- Source and oversee subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution.
- Ensure all documentation is completed and submitted for project handovers.
Requirements:
- Full UK Driving License (Manual)
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
- CSCS Card Holder
- SMSTS/SSSTS Certification Preferred but not essential.
- Experience in a Supervisor/Team Leader role within electrical or fire safety works.
- Strong understanding of compliance, CDM regulations, and site safety inspections.
Package:
- £48,000 - £50,000 per annum
