Workman's Recruitment is partnering with a highly regarded, long-established social housing contractor that has been trading for 80 years. They specialise in servicing long-term and unique planned capital works, cyclical decorations, major works, and retrofit schemes for some of the largest housing associations and councils across the UK.

Due to the expansion of an existing long-term contract, they are looking for an Electrical Supervisor to oversee a major Fire Safety Works contract in Islington, North London, supervising the installation, maintenance, and certification of fire alarm systems, smoke detection, and emergency lighting sign offs.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple sites, ensuring work meets required standards, client specifications, and health & safety regulations with minimal risk.
  • Supervise and monitor staff, ensuring performance targets are met, conducting appraisals, and addressing any issues as needed.
  • Regularly inspect works for quality, safety, and schedule compliance, issuing corrective actions and reporting variances to the contract manager.
  • Ensure compliance with CDM regulations, risk assessments, training, PPE requirements, and company policies.
  • Source subcontractors and allocate resources effectively to complete works on time.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation, providing updates to management and ensuring all required paperwork is completed post-project.
  • Conduct post-project reviews, assessing quality, subcontractor performance, financial outcomes, and health & safety compliance.
