Madisons Recruitment are recruiting for a Highways Site Supervisor on a permanent basis for a client of ours located in London to take charge of two active civil engineering schemes.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has a strong background in site supervision, and is committed to ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality project delivery.
Responsibilities
- Drainage installation
- Footway construction
- Asphalt surfacing
- Oversee day-to-day operations across both sites
- Ensure all works comply with health & safety regulations and company procedures
- Manage and support site personnel, including subcontractors and direct labour
- Order and manage materials through approved supply chains
- Conduct regular site inspections to maintain quality and safety standards
- Maintain clear site records, including attendance logs, incident reports, and equipment usage
- Liaise with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery
- Quickly and effectively resolve any on-site issues or delays
- Drive productivity and implement improvements where possible
Requirements
- Proven track record in a supervisory role within the highways or civil engineering sector
- Strong team management and leadership skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Confident in making decisions under pressure and solving problems in real time
- Solid understanding of health and safety regulations relevant to site environments
