Your new role
This is a multi-faceted Supervisor role which will see you ensuring the smooth running of our local depot. Based in London, you will be running a tight ship making sure all the teams are operating in a timely manner and running the weekly toolbox talks with good humour.
Your week will be made up of the below responsibilities:
- Putting together job packs, making sure all required documentation is included and that gangs are ready to get to work.
- Working with the Programmer to make sure KPIs and being hit, logging defects and managing people resource
- Conducting site audits and promoting health and safety.
- Dealing with the HR requirements for your team; annual and sick leave, collecting weekly timesheets etc, health and safety.
- Managing your team to hit daily targets and running daily check ins as they return to site
- Having an overview of what is going on at the depot, organising purchase orders, preparing job packs for weekly Programme meetings.
About you
As this is largely a people management role you will need to have effective communication skills and the ability to build rapport within a team.
You will ideally hit most of the below points:
- Background in highways with demonstrable management experience
- Attention to detail and time management skills
- Leadership skills and able to manage diverse teams and multiple projects at one time
- Keen decision-making skills
- CSCS card holder
- UK drivers licence
