As an M&E Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all mechanical and electrical aspects of both residential and commercial construction projects. You will work closely with the design and site teams to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in line with industry standards and regulations. This role demands strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and contractors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Oversight: Lead and manage the M&E aspects of both residential and commercial projects from inception through to completion.
- Team Leadership: Manage and coordinate M&E teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure effective communication and project progress.
- Design and Planning: Work with design teams to develop M&E project plans and ensure they meet project requirements, codes, and regulations.
- Quality Control: Oversee installation processes, ensuring all work is completed to the highest standard and within safety regulations.
- Budget & Scheduling: Monitor project budgets, prepare cost estimates, and ensure projects are completed within financial parameters.
- Stakeholder Management: Liaise with clients, consultants, and contractors to provide updates and resolve issues efficiently.
- Compliance: Ensure all M&E works comply with local laws, building codes, and safety regulations.
- Problem Solving: Address and resolve any technical issues that may arise during the project lifecycle.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience as an M&E Project Manager within the residential and/or commercial sectors.
- Strong technical background in mechanical and electrical engineering with relevant qualifications (e.g., HND, degree, or equivalent).
- Experience managing large-scale projects, with a clear understanding of both mechanical and electrical systems.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage a team and liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, building codes, and health and safety regulations.
- A proactive problem solver with the ability to stay calm under pressure.
- Ability to use project management software and other relevant tools.
