Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Chartered Building Surveyor to join our our clients team for a long-term contract, focusing on condition surveys of historic buildings in London. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced surveyor with a passion for heritage and conservation to work on iconic and culturally significant buildings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed condition surveys of historic buildings, assessing the structural integrity, condition, and required maintenance or restoration.
- Prepare comprehensive reports outlining findings, recommendations, and cost estimates for repairs.
- Liaise with clients, architects, and contractors as required.
Key Requirements:
- Chartered status (MRICS) or equivalent.
- Proven experience in conducting condition surveys, preferably with a focus on historic or listed buildings.
- Strong understanding of heritage and conservation principles and practices.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Desirable:
- Experience working on Grade I or II listed buildings or other structures of historic significance.
- A passion for preserving cultural heritage through responsible and informed surveying practices.
