Operations Planner - Data Centre Operations

Salary: £35-40k + excellent benefits (travel allowance, generous bonus scheme, generous pension, health insurance)

A world leading, Innovative and International Data Company based in Docklands is looking to recruit an experienced Operations Planner to join their expanding team.

As an Operations Planner, you will play a vital role in supporting the planning and coordination of maintenance requests and workflows within the Data Centre Operations Department. You will be responsible for creating high-level plans and maintenance schedules, monitoring project progress, and providing administrative assistance.

Key tasks will include:

  • Creating high-level plans/maintenance schedules for activities across the data centre campus.
  • Monitoring and tracking department projects, reporting on progress, and highlighting risks and potential delays.
  • Assisting in the preparation of customer audits by providing evidence of maintenance activities and completed works.
  • Updating the FM shift attendance register, highlighting gaps in attendance.
  • Auditing the CAFM system to ensure accurate and up-to-date data integrity.
  • Tracking and overseeing the FM provider's delivery of PPMs and Reactive works.
  • Reviewing assets on the CAFM system to ensure the correct setup of planned works for third-party sub-contractors and the current FM provider.
  • Ensuring newly handed over assets are correctly configured on the CAFM system.
  • Assisting with the maintenance Change Control tracker.
  • Overseeing the receipt of service reports for each scheduled maintenance task and identifying any gaps or risks.
  • Creating regular maintenance audit schedules with the DC Ops team and FM provider.
  • Assisting with the smooth approval of monthly FM billing applications by reviewing completed works.
  • Supporting the wider DC Ops team in processing orders.

Essential requirements:

  • Experience in project planning, scheduling, and reporting
  • 2-4 years of experience in a Facilities Maintenance coordination role or similar
  • Preferably experience in Asset Management.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with individuals at all levels
  • Ability to work in a confidential and sensitive manner.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills, and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience in the data centre sector or telecommunications sector is a bonus although training will be provided
