Planner - Construction Projects
Location: Central London
Salary: 45,000 - 60,000 per annum
Contract: Full-time, permanent

We're looking for a highly organised and proactive Planner to join a growing operational team and play a key role in the successful delivery of major construction and engineering projects. Based in Central London, this position offers the opportunity to work across a variety of complex, fast-paced environments and influence how operational projects are planned, tracked, and delivered.



The Role

As a Planner, you'll be central to the effective delivery of operational programmes, providing strategic input and guidance to project teams across all phases-from tender and feasibility through to handover. You will collaborate closely with Project Managers and stakeholders to shape realistic, efficient project plans and help drive performance.



Key Responsibilities

  • Build and manage detailed project programmes from inception to completion

  • Identify project constraints, scope, and resource requirements

  • Support tender planning, feasibility studies, and bid submissions

  • Monitor project progress, flag delays, and implement corrective actions

  • Advise on labour, plant, and material requirements

  • Produce accurate progress reports and data-driven insights for stakeholders

  • Promote planning best practices and embed continuous improvement

  • Act as the key point of contact for planning across designated projects

  • Contribute to planning capability and lessons learned sharing



What We're Looking For

Knowledge & Experience:

  • 2+ years' experience in construction project planning (M&E or general build)

  • Operational knowledge of planning systems and project lifecycle management

  • Familiarity with BIM and integrated planning methodologies

  • Experience using planning software (e.g., MS Project, Asta Powerproject)

  • Commercial awareness and understanding of construction industry challenges

  • Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and influencing skills

  • Confident multitasker with excellent organisational ability

  • Analytical and detail-oriented, with the ability to solve problems proactively

  • Calm under pressure with a collaborative, can-do attitude

  • Enthusiastic about continuous improvement and professional development

Preferred Qualifications:

  • HNC or Degree in Construction or Building Services Engineering

  • 5 GCSEs at grade C/5 or above, including Maths and English
