An established boutique practice is seeking an experienced Senior Building Surveyor to join their innovative and collaborative team of eight in their state-of-the-art office in central London.

The Senior Building Surveyor Role

As a Senior Building Surveyor, you will enjoy a diverse workload spanning project and professional services. Projects include high-profile fitouts and refurbishments up to 10m in value across commercial, retail, office, and industrial sectors.

In addition to client-facing responsibilities, you will play a pivotal role in mentoring junior surveyors, supporting their APC journey, and contributing to their professional success.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and managing a variety of project instructions, including fitout and refurbishment schemes.
  • Delivering professional services, ensuring the highest standards for clients.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients across multiple sectors.
  • Supporting the development of junior surveyors, providing guidance and mentorship.


The Ideal Senior Building Surveyor will have

  • Qualifications: MRICS (preferred but not essential) and a RICS-accredited degree.
  • Experience: Proven track record in commercial sectors with a consultancy or private practice background.
  • Skills: Strong client-facing and written communication skills.
  • Attributes: A proactive, driven individual with a passion for mentoring and delivering excellence.
