Senior Site Manager - Job Specification (Bethnal Green Project)-
Role Overview: Lead the day-to-day on-site operations for a key project in Bethnal Green, managing all construction activities and ensuring successful project delivery.

Team Leadership: Supervise and support the Site Manager (SM) and Resident Liaison Officer (RLO), fostering a collaborative and effective team environment.

Client-Focused Approach: Act as the key on-site representative for the company, maintaining strong relationships with the client and ensuring their needs are met throughout the project.

Project Coordination: Work closely with the visiting Project Manager to align on project goals, timelines, and quality expectations.

Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure all on-site activities adhere to UK construction health and safety regulations, driving a culture of safety excellence.

Programme Management: Oversee the construction programme, monitor progress, and proactively address any delays or issues to keep the project on track.

Quality Control: Maintain high standards of workmanship across all trades, ensuring the project meets or exceeds the client’s expectations.

Subcontractor Management: Coordinate and manage subcontractors, ensuring their work aligns with the project programme and quality requirements.

Resource Planning: Manage materials, equipment, and labour to optimise efficiency and minimise waste.

Problem-Solving: Quickly and effectively resolve any on-site challenges or conflicts to minimise disruption and maintain momentum.

Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate site records, including progress reports, RFI logs, and site diaries, ensuring clear communication with the Project Manager and other stakeholders.

Cost Control: Work with the commercial team to manage budgets, control costs, and avoid unnecessary expenditure.

Community Engagement: Support the RLO in addressing local community concerns, minimising disruption, and ensuring a positive company reputation in the area.
