Electrical Site Supervisor – Water Sector
Working with a leading contractor to the UK water industry I am recruiting for an Electrical Site Supervisor to be based within the Thames Region.
The Role:Reporting directly to the M&E Manager/Lead Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising and controlling all electrical site activities efficiently, ensuring work is completed to specification, within contract timelines, and with a strong focus on health, safety, and quality.
Key Responsibilities:-
Supervise site electrical installations.

Ensure SHE standards are maintained and safe systems of work are adhered to.

Maintain high-quality output in line with current standards and specifications.

Verify new electrical systems and ensure safe isolation of LV electrical systems.

Monitor supply chain performance and programme.
-
Review and monitor supplier inspection and test plans.
-
Attend site inductions and toolbox talks.

Support commissioning activities where required.

Participate in collaborative planning meetings and contribute to site delivery programmes.

Ensure electrical safety rules are followed as the Electrical Appointed Person.

Perform electrical isolations and safety inspections on temporary and permanent equipment.

Conduct one-to-one meetings with supply chain supervisors and ensure take 5s are completed.

Assist in compiling project takeover documentation.

Oversee electrical testing in line with BS7671, reviewing test results against guidance note 3 and manufacturer literature.

Issue limitation of access permits.

Maintain a daily diary of site activities.

Previous experience in a similar role within the Water sector.

Strong knowledge of electrical installations, safety regulations, and testing procedures.

SSSTS or SMSTS Certification (Required).

Appointed Person Status (Required).
-
First Aid at Work (FAAW) (Required).
-
ECS Card (Required).
-
C&G 2330 or 2360 in Electrical Installations (Required).

NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations (Required).
-
IEE 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (Required).

2391 Test and Inspect (Preferred).
