Mobile Plumbing Supervisor
Covering a pretiogious site in Richmond, also required to cover Central London, you will need to be an advanced plumbing with experience of supervisirng, and all of the below duties.
Role Overview: The Plumbing Supervisor is responsible for delivering maintenance to SFG-20 standards, repair works, and reactive services to a professional standard. This role includes a proactive and innovative approach to service delivery, ensuring routine services, maintenance, and repairs are carried out in line with SLAs. The supervisor will mentor engineers and apprentices, build excellent working relationships with engineers, and be proficient in using a CAFM system. Responsibilities also include delivering planned preventative maintenance, assisting with technical issues on site, ensuring all service reports are completed correctly, producing quality reports and quotations, and providing feedback to the team and management. The supervisor will manage site asset verification, work to company policies, undertake toolbox talks, and contribute to the productivity and profit of the team.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities: The role involves working on all types of plumbing, mechanical, and electrical assets. Plumbing and mechanical duties include pump overhauls, valve and pipework repairs, L8 assessment and remedial repairs, fixing leaks, fault finding, boiler checks, water treatment, and temperature monitoring. Electrical duties involve motor testing, BMS monitoring, meter checks, and fault finding. The supervisor will service AHUs, FCUs, pumps, inverters, underfloor heating, and pipework, with a good working knowledge of all other M&E and HVAC systems. The role also includes handling reactive callouts, troubleshooting and resolving faults, diagnosing and repairing system malfunctions, producing quotations for additional works and repairs, managing subcontractors, and overseeing Health & Safety in line with client systems.
Qualifications: A time-served mechanical/plumbing apprenticeship, City & Guilds or equivalent in Plumbing/Mechanical Engineering, and a minimum of six years of experience in the field.
Skills and Attributes: To excel in this role, the candidate must be enthusiastic, organized, and determined to achieve results. They should be an excellent team player and communicator, motivated to excel, and confident working on large complex mechanical and electrical systems. Proficiency with plastic fusion welded pipework, press fit, screwed and soldered pipework and fittings, and an understanding of BMS systems are essential. The candidate should be IT literate and comfortable working with an electronic works management system (CAFM), a good problem solver with the ability to fault find and rectify and have a positive 'Can Do' attitude. They should also have the skills to seek out new opportunities within existing contracts.
