The Senior Building Surveyor Role

The successful Senior Building Surveyor will deliver a range of professional and project-related services for commercial properties, including design, maintenance, repair, and refurbishment.

In addition to client-facing responsibilities, you'll play a key role in supporting junior surveyors, contributing to their development, and eventually stepping into a direct management position within the team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing a full range of Building Surveying services for commercial property projects.
  • Offering expertise in defect diagnosis, CDM Regulations 2015, and Building Regulation legislation.
  • Managing Party Wall matters and delivering detailed, high-quality reports.
  • Collaborating with the team to drive growth and success.
  • Mentoring junior staff and preparing for future leadership responsibilities.


The Ideal Senior Building Surveyor will have

  • Qualifications: MRICS accreditation with a RICS-accredited degree.
  • Experience: Strong background in commercial property projects and professional services.
  • Skills: Excellent verbal communication, business development acumen, and report-writing abilities.
  • Attributes: Organised, client-focused, and eager to contribute to team growth and success.
