Design Manager (MEP - Mechanical, Electrical and Public Health)

We are working with a leading construction and engineering company in infrastructure, seeking an experienced Design Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. You will play a leading role in delivering the Supply Shain Stage 5 (Design for Construction & Manufacturing) MEPH design of a major infrastructure project in London. Responsibilities include leading and managing the completion of Stage 5 MEPH design, handling supplier queries and ensure clear communication of design processes, ensuring design compliance with maintenance, health & safety, and welfare regulations, producing detailed progress reports and track design milestones, supporting the commercial team in costing and subcontract management as well as overseeing CDM management and Stage 4 Contractor design management.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in detailed design and design management for MEP, with a strong understanding of MEP design standards and a proven track record of working on large-scale, self-assured design projects. You must also have experience managing the design of infrastructure projects, experience implementing the Construction and Design Management Regulations 2015 within the design process, and have a valid CSCS card. Exceptional candidates will be qualified in a mechanical or electrical disciple (at degree level or equivalent) and have knowledge and experience working with NEC construction contracts.
