Belcan is hiring an Engineering Delivery Manager - Lead Process, to join our Engineering design function.

Hybrid working reporting into our South West London SW14 or Cheltenham GL51 office.

A bit about the company, team, and project you will join:

Belcan provide complex and niche design engineering and commissioning solutions, either as stand-alone projects or integrated within a larger EPC contract, encompassing:

  • Mechanical (Pipeline)
  • Process and Functional Safety
  • Electrical
  • Control and Instrumentation
  • OT/Systems/Cyber
  • Hazardous Areas

We're looking for a talented individual to join our team and lead technical project delivery within our Multi-Disciplinary Engineering function.

Key responsibilities include carrying out process engineering activities such as conducting design reviews and coordinating efforts, performing process simulations, and developing P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams) and PFDs (Process Flow Diagrams). You'll also engage in concept, FEED (Front End Engineering Design), and detailed design phases.

In terms of technical project delivery, you'll take ownership of overarching scopes of work, ensure best practices are followed, identify and monitor risks and opportunities, and engage key stakeholders as needed. You'll conduct technical evaluations, review KPIs to maintain high standards, support project management in monitoring contract compliance, assist in proposal development and growth activities, and manage and lead the team effectively.

Skills and Experience

We are seeking a highly competent technical person and key team member who can manage technical project delivery. This multi-faceted role involves all aspects of team management and acting as a client-facing technical consultant with both existing and new clients. You will integrate project management into day-to-day delivery and identify areas for improvement and growth.

Essential skills and experience include a wealth of process engineering experience, with a minimum of 5 years in industries such as Oil & Gas, LNG, Petrochemicals, Cryogenic Pipeline, Process, or Gas Compression. You should have experience and knowledge of FPSAs, including HAZOPS and LOPAs, and the ability to perform process simulations. The role requires the ability to multi-task and manage multiple project requirements simultaneously. A technical qualification to degree level in Chemical Engineering and Chartered Engineer status are also essential.

Preferred skills and experience include working on Upper Tier COMAH sites, basic experience in CAD, Electrical, Mechanical, and C&I engineering disciplines, and familiarity with CDM regulations. Experience with Hydrogen and Carbon Capture projects is also preferred.
