The Role

Head of Construction is a senior management role within our clients group of companies. The overriding requirement is to provide effective leadership and organisational skills to deliver consistently high-quality and responsive construction services - tailored to each client’s specific needs. The role requires strong business development skills, ruthless target-focussed planning and delivery, and effective communication (externally to clients and partners, and internally across the group).

Responsibilities:

  • Client relationships – ensuring clients are effectively served and future needs scoped and delivered.
  • Business development – winning and developing business through business contacts, contract tendering and relationship building.
  • Contract – helping structure and deliver tenders and clients contracts.
  • Market – monitor market forces and emerging opportunities to ensure we are correctly positioned to generate profit and grow sustainably.
  • Operations – working with Head of Delivery to achieve agreed contract milestones.
  • Performance – setting and tracking key KPIs.
  • Process – implementing and evolving effective procedures and protocols.
  • Staff – selecting, managing, developing & retaining a strong team.
  • Reporting – reporting to all clients and stakeholders.
  • Compliance and regulation – setting and delivering strong governance and meeting statutory requirements.
Requirements

Qualifications/Skills Required  

The successful candidate will hold the following skills and/or qualifications:  

  • MCIOB Qualification (ideal but not essential)
  • Excellent attention to detail and organization skills.  
  • Excellent computer and telephone skills.  
  • Excellent management skills.
Benefits

Remuneration:  

  • Base Salary: £75,000
  • OTE: £100,000+
  • Hours: 0900 – 1800 Monday-Friday
  • Contract: Permanent
  • Location: Bankside, SE1
  • Holiday: 25 days pa, in addition to Public Bank Holidays
  • Pension: Company contribution
