Our client Scottish Power Renewables are looking for a Lead Contract Manager to join their team in London or Glasgow (hybrid 2 days per week at the office).It is a contract role inside IR35 approved for 12 months initially (likely to be extended) paying competitive rates.To lead a contracting area within East Anglia Three Offshore Windfarm project within Scottish PowerRenewables.The Lead Contract Manager is a critical role within the Offshore Business focussing on the delivery oflarge-scale offshore wind projects in the UK and overseas, working with Multinational Joint VenturePartner(s) and Contractors ensuring that SPR's/Iberdrola position is suitably protected in anyagreements.Belonging to the Operations Department and reporting to the Principal Contract Manager. Responsiblefor establishing a team of experts to define contracting strategies and plans, tendering, negotiating andmanaging multi-million offshore delivery contracts.The Lead Contract Manager would work closely with the supply chain and maintain high levelrelationships with the major suppliers and contractors. The purpose being to ensure that SPR maintainsvery effective and value adding relationships with the suppliers which will enhance our ability to deliveragainst our business strategy.We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Lead Contract Manager to oversee ContractManagement for Foundations and IAC offshore installation in a combine package along 2025, time whereall installation works will take place. This role is pivotal in ensuring contractual compliance, managingrisks, and fostering collaboration between stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years ofexperience in contract management within the offshore wind or renewable energy sector and possess astrong understanding of installation processes, legal frameworks, and project execution in marineenvironments.To develop adequately balanced risk profiles within the EA3 Transport & Installation packagethrough contract strategy and ongoing contract management.- Implement the necessary processes and procedures required to develop the EA3 Transport andInstallation Contract.- Oversee that projects comply and follow standard processes and procedure while executingthe wind farm.- Anticipate contractual and commercial risks, opportunities and threats to the project andimplement control measures or actions.- Maintain value adding relationships with all contractor and suppliers.- Coordinate all legal and procurement activities for the project area.- Monitoring contractor performance in the project, to ensure quality, H&S and cost targets are met and ensuring the project is implemented in a manner consistent with the contract terms andwith sound commercial and risk management principles.Drive continuous improvement in contractual strategies, commercial parameters andcontractual terms and conditions.- Develop strategies to address disputes or claims efficiently while safeguarding project interests.- Team Leadership: Guide and mentor a team of two contract managers to achieve project goals.Current offshore pipeline is larger 6 GW in IBR/SPR Offshore Business.• Multi-billion-pound projects and multi-million-pound contracts within the Global Offshore WindBusiness 6000MW investment plan.• Currently there are projects in different stages of their lifecycle which require commercial andcontractual leadership and coordination.• British, Spanish, French, US and German team members, different languages, and cultures to bemanaged in the projects (large packages).• Organizational complexity of the projects is a challenge.
