We are assisting a leading mechanical and electrical contractor specialising in delivering high-quality services for a variety of industries and is in need of an experienced Mechanical Construction Manager. Due to continued expansion, we are now looking for a seasoned Mechanical Construction Manager to oversee and manage the mechanical aspects of construction projects from inception to completion including planning, coordinating, and supervising mechanical construction activities to ensure that projects are completed on time, within the budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities & Requirements:

  • Generate detailed project plans for mechanical construction activities, including timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.

  • Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate mechanical construction activities with overall project plans.

  • Manage resources, including labour, materials, and equipment, to ensure efficient project execution within budget constraints.

  • Oversee mechanical construction activities on-site, ensuring compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.

  • Identify and resolve issues and conflicts and address issues to prevent or eliminate any impact on project development.

  • Review and verify that all mechanical installations meet project specifications and industry standards.

  • Oversee the testing and commissioning of mechanical systems to ensure proper functionality.

  • Ensure all project activities comply with relevant health and safety regulations, codes, and standards including obtaining necessary permits and certifications for mechanical projects.

  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including progress reports, inspection records, and test reports.

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in mechanical construction management within construction with focus on mechanical and electrical projects.

  • Proven track record of successfully managing mechanical construction projects from design to completion.

  • Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems and construction methodologies.

  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.

  • Excellent organisational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
