Net/C# Developer - INSIDE IR35 - London/Hybrid

Job Title: Software Engineer - .Net/C#  
Location: London/Hybrid - 2 days per week in London but possibility to work remotely 
Salary/Rate: Up to £500/day INSIDE IR35
Start Date: Immediate 
Job Type: 12 month contract initially - likely to extend 

Company Introduction

Coltech is partnered with a prestigious consultancy client who are looking for an experienced .Net/C# Developer to join their team for a 12 month contract.

The ideal candidate will have background experience in Oil and Gas/Commodities (not mandatory but it's desired) with strong proficiency in .NET/C# and SQL Server.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

1. Working directly with business users (desk analysts) to understand and enrich requirements
2. Working closely with the lead functional developer to define, develop, test and release new features 
3. Provide workarounds & bug fixes for urgent production issues
4. Advocating best practice and standards within the development team

Required Skills/Experience

1. Strong .net /C#
2. Strong SQL Server
3. Comfortable working in a fast-moving demand driven trading environment (e.g. embedded desk developer)

Desirable Skills/Experience

1. Experience with fundamental modelling of commodities, ideally energy (power, gas, environmental products), and with meteorology, would make the top candidates stand out
2. Azure or other Cloud based hosting
3. Entity Framework
4. Blazor – server side
5. .Net Api
6. Redis Cache
7. Azure Service Bus – or some other form of messaging technology
8. Azure Event Hubs
