We are seeking an experienced Planned Works Project Manager to oversee and manage the delivery of planned maintenance and refurbishment projects. This position is pivotal in successfully delivering a comprehensive, long-term housing refurbishment and improvement program. The role directly impacts both the team and the ability to meet key objectives, including those within the Housing Revenue Account Capital Programme. The responsibilities associated with this role are multifaceted, and the successful delivery of planned works is crucial. A dedicated individual is essential to manage these responsibilities effectively and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, coordinate, and manage the delivery of planned maintenance and refurbishment projects from inception to completion.
  • Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure clear communication and alignment on project objectives and deliverables.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure work is carried out to the required standards and in compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Manage project budgets, track expenses, and ensure cost-effective delivery of services.
  • Prepare and present regular project status reports to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Ensure all project documentation is accurately maintained and up to date.
  • Lead and motivate project teams, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in project delivery processes and implement best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and standards.
  • Directly contribute to the successful delivery of the Housing Revenue Account Capital Programme.

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications in project management, construction management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in managing planned maintenance and refurbishment projects.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Good knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure.
  • Proficiency in using project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) is desirable.
