Role Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Architectural Finishes Package Manager to lead the procurement, execution, and close-out of architectural finishes on a fast-paced, high-profile project.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Tender Management: Develop tender package scope documents. Collaborate with Design Managers and external consultants to produce well-resolved, buildable designs. Pre-qualify bidders, compile tender documents, manage the tender process, and assess tender returns.
  • Contract Award: Conduct commercial negotiations, recommend awards, and prepare contract documents. Inform unsuccessful bidders and archive all tender responses.
  • Contractor Management: Organize contractor kick-off meetings, ensuring compliance with site logistics, health and safety, and quality requirements. Oversee contractor submittals, track their progress, and review technical submissions.
  • Project Coordination: Maintain communication across the project team, facilitating effective collaboration. Supervise and inspect the contractor's work, documenting all findings and ensuring timely defect resolution.
  • Quality Control and Inspection: Conduct progress meetings, inspect factory conditions as necessary, and rigorously monitor quality standards and completion levels.
  • Completion and Handover: Manage the final phases of contractor work, ensuring all documentation, O&M manuals, as-built drawings, and health and safety files are complete. Draft a comprehensive project report, including "lessons learned."
  • Health & Safety: Uphold and promote health and safety standards per Canary Wharf Group's guidelines.
  • Additional Duties: Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by Senior Management.
Qualifications and Experience Required:
  • Educational Background: Relevant degree (or equivalent) in Construction or Building Studies is desirable. Minimum qualifications include C&G HNC & ONC in Building Studies.
  • Technical Expertise: Proven experience managing finishes such as dry lining, high-quality stonework, timber, and toilet fit-outs on fast-track projects.
  • Track Record: Demonstrable success in delivering high-quality architectural finishes, with experience in contracting, construction management, and commercial development.
  • Skills: Strong communication, detail-oriented decision-making, and a proactive approach to health and safety. Experience with document management systems is essential, with Asite knowledge preferred.
  • Professional Standards: Commitment to ongoing professional development, technical competence with Method Statements and Risk Assessments, and health and safety awareness.
