Description
- Manage the financial and technical aspects of contracts including procurement, invoicing and payment to ensure effective cash flow management and meet profit and ROCE budgets.
- Prepare tenders by measuring and calculating rates for estimating and ensure all work issued have labour targets to return agreed performance.
- Manage the billing process to ensure prompt recovery of payment and manage the payment of subcontractors.
- Provide advice and report on and control all commercial aspects of projects, ensuring compliance with the company's procedures and policies.
- Drive standards of quality, ensure smooth progression of works, and manage resolution of defects.
- Manage and produce accurate formal reports in accordance with business timetable.
- Collaborate with site management and head office to ensure accurate and timely controls are maintained.
- Monitor and support the consistent implementation of company procedures and policies.
Profile
A successful 'Planned Works QS' should have:
- A degree in Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
- Strong commercial awareness and commitment to achieving deadlines.
- Experience in managing the technical and financial aspects of construction contracts.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team.
- Experience in preparing tenders and managing billing processes.
Job Offer
