An exciting opportunity for a talented Planned Works QS to join our property and construction team, providing vital support in the effective execution of planned work.

Description

  • Manage the financial and technical aspects of contracts including procurement, invoicing and payment to ensure effective cash flow management and meet profit and ROCE budgets.
  • Prepare tenders by measuring and calculating rates for estimating and ensure all work issued have labour targets to return agreed performance.
  • Manage the billing process to ensure prompt recovery of payment and manage the payment of subcontractors.
  • Provide advice and report on and control all commercial aspects of projects, ensuring compliance with the company's procedures and policies.
  • Drive standards of quality, ensure smooth progression of works, and manage resolution of defects.
  • Manage and produce accurate formal reports in accordance with business timetable.
  • Collaborate with site management and head office to ensure accurate and timely controls are maintained.
  • Monitor and support the consistent implementation of company procedures and policies.

Profile

A successful 'Planned Works QS' should have:

  • A degree in Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
  • Strong commercial awareness and commitment to achieving deadlines.
  • Experience in managing the technical and financial aspects of construction contracts.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team.
  • Experience in preparing tenders and managing billing processes.
