If you are passionate about delivering impactful regeneration projects and have a strong background in managing post-contract development, this opportunity could be for you!Role Title: Development Manager (Post-Contract)Department: Place DepartmentReports to: Senior Development ManagerDirect Reports: 1 x Development OfficerRate: £350 per Umbrella PAYELocation: Hammersmith, London 1-2 Days per week in the office/onsiteContract Type: Temproary, Full-TimeAbout the RoleAs a Development Manager, you will play a key role within Hammersmith & Fulham’s Regeneration, Development, and Asset Management service. This team is responsible for driving the council’s vision to deliver new homes and vital community infrastructure through complex development schemes, in line with the Building Homes and Communities Strategy.In this role, you will manage and implement a variety of development projects with values ranging from £10m to £140m, ensuring successful delivery from detailed design to construction and handover. You will coordinate input from multiple internal departments and external consultant teams, while also collaborating with stakeholders to meet wider council objectives.Key Responsibilities:Lead the management of post-contract council development projects, primarily focusing on RIBA stages 4-7.Oversee mixed-use developments, including housing and community safety improvements, ensuring innovation, sustainability, and high-quality construction standards.Manage procurement, post-contract design services, and consultants to ensure smooth delivery and compliance.Monitor and report progress towards milestones, managing consultant performance and ensuring financial targets are met.Engage in resident consultations and work with community involvement teams to ensure clear and effective communication on project goals.Collaborate with internal stakeholders and departments, including Planning, Legal, and Asset Management, to align all efforts with council objectives and statutory regulations.Lead project handover processes, securing internal sign-offs and final inspections.About YouThe ideal candidate will be a dynamic and experienced project manager, capable of leading complex developments through their final stages of implementation.
