As we expand our operations, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Contracts Manager to join our team and spearhead our contract management initiatives across various sectors, including Finance, IT, Engineering, and HR.

Role Overview: As the Senior Contracts Manager, you will play a crucial role in consolidating our supplier base and enhancing our contract management processes. This position is ideal for a methodical and commercial strategist who excels in managing people and contracts. You will be responsible for developing and implementing contract management strategies that align with our business objectives and drive operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive contract management strategies across multiple disciplines, including Finance, IT, Engineering, and HR.
  • Consolidate and manage supplier relationships to optimize procurement processes and achieve cost savings.
  • Lead contract negotiations, ensuring favorable terms and compliance with organizational policies and legal requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and assess contract risks, providing guidance and recommendations for mitigation.
  • Monitor contract performance and compliance, addressing any issues that arise in a timely manner.
  • Train and mentor junior team members in contract management best practices.
  • Prepare and present reports on contract performance and supplier performance metrics to senior management.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes that may impact contract management.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in contract management, preferably within the transportation or related industries.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial contracting principles and legal terminology.
  • Exceptional negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Methodical and strategic approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Relevant qualifications in contract management or procurement (e.g., CIPS, IACCM) are desirable.
