A brilliant new opportunity has been created at Senior Design Manager level to join a major projects division of a commercial fit out contractor working on major projects in central London. You will be involved in bid/tender work and will be tasked to run a large scheme (up to £100m) from preconstruction to handover.

Description
As a Senior Design Manager your key responsibilities will be:
- Supporting bid and tender work, specifically providing design & technical input to appraise schemes accurately
- Overseeing scope definition, design team appointment, and design development
- Management of technical design coordination through internal and external team management
- Delivery of project reporting for clients as well as internal management reporting
- Undertaking VE exercises, management of design solutions in delivery, and coordination with the build teams
- Coordination of final project handover
Profile
This role will suit an experienced (Senior) Design Manager looking for a fresh challenge working on major projects. Successful applicants should have:
- An educational background in Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- Proven experience working through Stages 3-7 on commercial CAT A & CAT B schemes in a main contractor environment
- A background working on major projects (c.£100m in value) will be highly advantageous
- High levels of technical knowledge and a background solving complex coordination and construction issues
- Experience of working successfully on bid/tender stages for major projects
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage and drive design teams as well as internal teams
You must have the right to work in the UK and will be comfortable working 5 days/wk in office/on site in central London.
