In this role, you will lead and contribute to a diverse range of construction projects across housing, regeneration, education, commercial, care, and health sectors. About the RoleAs a key member of the cost consultancy, project management, and employer’s agent team, you’ll collaborate with both internal and external partners to ensure successful project delivery. This role offers a mix of hands-on project management and leadership responsibilities, perfect for someone looking to advance their career in construction consultancy.
Key Responsibilities- Act as the Contract Administrator or Employer’s Agent across a variety of construction projects, utilizing standard forms of construction contracts.
- Liaise with clients to present schemes, discuss project programming, and manage delivery expectations.
- Lead the appointment and performance management of Professional Teams.
- Conduct regular site visits and issue detailed inspection reports.
- Prepare and present feasibility and appraisal reports.
- Develop and present outline design proposals, including budget estimations.
- Oversee the preparation of full working drawings, contract administration, and tendering processes.
- Mentor and train colleagues as part of the Project Team Leader responsibilities.
- A BSc (Hons) degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying, Project Management, or a related discipline.
- Associate membership of RICS or an equivalent recognized qualification.
- Proven experience in Construction Project Management (consultancy experience is highly preferred).
- Strong understanding of project lifecycle management, contracts, and team leadership.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
