We have an exciting opportunity working within a local authority as a Senior Project Manager on an initial 3 month contract.

ROLE DESCRIPTION

  • Lead and project manage a portfolio of major capital investments works to Haringey council’s housing stock, ensuring successful delivery and that contract conditions are complied with, that budgets and timetables are adhered, that high-quality standards and value for money are provided and that statutory, regulatory and Council requirements are delivered at all times.

  • Lead a team of project managers and consultants responsible for the delivery of a range of projects within the housing capital investment programme of up to £20m p.a. Provide effective leadership, support and motivation and ensure the team are recruited, trained, managed, appraised and developed in accordance with internal and statutory procedures in an effective and sensitive manner.

ABOUT YOU

  • Degree or equivalent in construction management, engineering, project management, or a related field and professional certifications such as PRINCE2 Practitioner.

  • A proven track record of the successfully delivery of medium to large value (up to £20,000,000+) projects.

  • perience of developing and managing capital budgets, ensuring that financial records and systems are maintained, that budget allocations are controlled, and of achieving value for money and identifying opportunities for cost savings.
