Technical Co-ordinator - Residential Development

Are you a proactive and technically strong professional ready to take the lead on exciting residential developments? This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established and ambitious building and construction business delivering high-quality housing across South West London and surrounding.

We are seeking a confident and hands-on Technical Co-ordinator with a strong understanding of the planning process, building regulations, and technical delivery. You'll work across multiple sites (typically 1-3 at a time), taking responsibility for managing external consultants, coordinating approvals, and ensuring the seamless delivery of working drawings to support the build programme.

Key Responsibilities of the Technical Co-ordinator
  • Manage the appointment and coordination of external consultants including architects, engineers, and specialists

  • Lead the preparation and submission of planning applications, supporting documents, and feasibility studies

  • Secure building regulations and statutory approvals, ensuring all conditions are met for site start and CMLs

  • Coordinate the production and review of full working drawing packages for residential and non-residential schemes

  • Support site teams with technical queries and ensure information is accurate and timely

  • Attend and lead design team meetings, internal reviews, and site-based progress meetings

  • Liaise with the commercial team to ensure technical design aligns with budgets and value engineering goals

  • Review supplier and manufacturer information for technical compliance and integration

  • Maintain compliance with all relevant standards, including Building Regulations, CODE, HQI, Lifetime Homes, and other evolving requirements

About You
  • Proven experience in a similar technical role within residential development or house building

  • Strong understanding of the UK planning process and technical compliance

  • Proficient in AutoCAD; familiarity with Viewpoint and Fieldview is advantageous (training can be provided)

  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines

  • Commercially aware with a keen eye for detail and build-ability

  • Strong communicator, able to lead discussions, follow instructions, and collaborate effectively

  • Confident and motivated, with a proactive and solutions-focused mindset

  • Comfortable working both in the office and on site
