We're working on behalf of a local authority in Kensington and Chelsea, West London, who are seeking a skilled and experienced Painter and Decorator to join their housing estate maintenance team.

This is a static role based on a single housing estate - all properties are within walking distance, so no van or fuel card is required.

Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out internal and external painting and decorating across council properties.
  • Preparing surfaces including stripping, filling, sanding, and priming.
  • Applying a range of finishes including emulsion, gloss, undercoat, and wallpapering where required.
  • Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard, in line with health and safety regulations.
  • Working collaboratively with tenants and housing staff, providing a courteous and professional service.
  • Using a PDA system to receive and update job information, materials used, and works completed.

Requirements:

  • Full UK Driving Licence (manual)
