Working Hours:
- Day Shift: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Night Shifts and Weekend/Bank Holiday work available at enhanced rates.
We are seeking a Controller of Site Safety to join our team in London. As a key member of the team, you will oversee all aspects of site safety, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and maintaining a secure working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and enforce site safety standards.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits.
- Provide safety guidance and training to site workers.
- Address any safety concerns or hazards promptly.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in site safety management.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Certifications and Training:
- NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety: This is one of the most recognized safety qualifications in the UK and is often required for safety roles.
- IOSH Managing Safely: The Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) offers various certifications, with Managing Safely being particularly relevant for roles like a Controller of Site Safety.
- CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) Card: If the role is in the construction industry, having a valid CSCS card (usually a Site Safety Plus card) is essential.
- First Aid and CPR Certification: Having up-to-date first aid and CPR certifications is often essential to ensure the safety of all personnel on site.
- Fire Safety Training: Certifications in fire safety and evacuation procedures may also be necessary, especially in construction or industrial environments.
- SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme): For those in construction or related fields, this certification focuses on health, safety, and environmental management on construction sites.
