About the Role

We are partnering with a leading housing provider in London, dedicated to delivering safe, high-quality living environments for our residents. We are currently seeking an experienced and proactive Building Safety Manager to join our team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the safety and compliance of our residential properties in line with the latest regulations and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

As the Building Safety Manager, you will:

  • Lead on all aspects of building safety across our housing portfolio.
  • Develop, implement, and manage building safety cases and maintain the golden thread of information.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments, inspections, and audits of our properties to ensure compliance with fire safety and other building regulations.
  • Liaise with external agencies, including local authorities, fire services, and other safety bodies.
  • Collaborate closely with property management teams, maintenance staff, and contractors to ensure safe and effective property management.
  • Provide expert guidance and training to staff and residents on building safety matters.
  • Prepare detailed reports and recommendations for senior management.
  • Stay updated on changes in legislation, standards, and best practices related to building safety.
Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A relevant degree or professional qualification in Building Safety, Construction, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in a building safety management role, preferably within the housing sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of current building safety regulations, including the Building Safety Act and Fire Safety Order.
  • Level 4 Diploma in fire safety or CIOB Level 6 in Building Safety or working towards
  • Strong project management and organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence a wide range of stakeholders.
  • A proactive and analytical mindset, with strong problem-solving skills.
  • A valid driving licence and the ability to travel as required.
