About the Role
Reporting to the Principal Building Safety Manager, you will:
路Ensure Compliance: Oversee adherence to the Building Safety Act 2022, Fire Safety Act 2021, and related legislation.
路Collaborate & Lead: Work closely with internal teams, contractors, and residents to promote safety awareness and maintain transparency.
路Deliver Safety Reports: Prepare Building Assessment Certificate (BAC) applications and detailed safety case reports.
路Identify & Improve Risks: Conduct building inspections, recommend improvements, and oversee fire safety enhancements.
路Support Development: Maintain the Golden Thread of Information for new and existing high-risk buildings.
About You
Skills & Experience Required
路Extensive knowledge of the Building Safety Act 2022 and related legislation.
路Proven experience in residential building management, construction, or compliance.
路A strong track record of delivering customer satisfaction, ideally in a local government setting.
路Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with a solutions-focused mindset.
Technical Expertise
路Competence in compliance software, risk assessment tools, and detailed report preparation.
路Experience in managing safety risks and recommending remedial actions.
Desirable Qualifications
路Training in building management or construction.
路Familiarity with building control, planning, or listed building consent processes.
