Our client is a leading housing provider in London with a strong local presence. We are currently assisting them in the recruitment of an experienced Building Safety Manager.

This is a full-time role which offers a hybrid and flexible working pattern, the main responsibility of the role will include:

• Overseeing the management of Higher Risk Residential Buildings (HRRBs) in the area according to the safety case report and regulatory requirements

• Ensure buildings and systems comply with statutory obligations and the Health and Safety File

• Control and reduce risks to life and building safety

• Conduct and review fire risk assessments and ensure timely remediation

• Ensure compliance with building fire strategies and maintain fire compartmentation

• Monitor contractor performance and compliance with duties set out in statutes

• Maintain building safety information (Golden Thread) related to design, construction, and maintenance

• Engage with residents on safety management, provide clear escalation routes for concerns, and ensure timely action on issues

• Stay updated on relevant legislation, regulations, and guidelines

• Collaborate with project managers to ensure work complies with fire safety strategies

To apply candidates should have:

• NEBOSH fire safety (or equivalent)

• Membership of IFE or IFSM (or equivalent)

And ideally:

• Building-related degree or similar qualification/experience

• Higher grade fire safety qualification
