Building Safety Manager

Goodman Masson are supporting a key client with the recruitment of a Building Safety Manager.

Rate: £450-£500 per day (negotiable, depending on experience)

Duration: 6 months +

Location: London (3d on-site)

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Prepare and submit Building Assessment Certificate (BAC) applications for high-risk buildings
  • Act as the primary liaison with the Building Safety Regulator and other key stakeholders
  • Collaborate with internal council teams, contractors, and consultants to ensure compliance
  • Work closely with the Fire Safety Team to maintain safety across all high-risk buildings
  • Support the Development Team in maintaining the Golden Thread of Information for new high-risk buildings
  • Conduct detailed building inspections, identifying risks and recommending improvements
  • Oversee the production of client briefs for fire improvement works resulting from building safety inspections
  • Provide expert advice to internal departments on building safety policies and procedures, fostering a culture of compliance
  • Support building control, planning, and listed building consent processes as required
  • Engage with residents in high-risk buildings to promote safety awareness and transparency
  • Working closely with residents, tenants, contractors, and external stakeholders to address safety concerns and ensure transparency
  • Ensuring that all identified HRRBs are managed and maintained in accordance with the requirements of the Building Safety Act

The successful candidate will have:

  • Extensive knowledge of the Building Safety Act 2022 and related legislation
  • Proven experience in a similar role
